For its Fall/Winter 2018-19 women's collection, sacai will be releasing a line of earrings in collaboration with Parisian jewelry designer Charlotte Chesnais. The collection will be available in limited quantities at select stores in Japan and overseas from September 15th.
After launching Balenciaga's jewelry line, Charlotte Chesnais launched her own eponymous brand in 2015 and won the ANDAM Fashion Accessories Award.
This award drew attention to her collection, which combines graphics with smooth, fluid lines and redesigns basic pieces into abstract shapes, creating small, sculptural pieces.
The earrings, which will be released in limited quantities this time, feature an abstract design with a large twisted hoop that wraps around the ear. In line with Sacai's 2018 Fall/Winter women's collection, which prominently features asymmetrical items, these single earrings are designed to be worn on the right ear only. They come in two colors, gold and silver (both 70,000 yen), which harmonize with Sacai's styling, which is asymmetrical yet strangely balanced.
In Japan, they will be sold at five stores: sacai (flagship store) in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, sacai DOVER STREET MARKET GINZA, Isetan Shinjuku, Ginza Mitsukoshi, and Hankyu Umeda Main Store.
