The 26th Kyoto Exhibition: A Competition of Tradition and Modernity will be held at the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building, 6th floor event hall, showcasing dishes using delicious Kyoto beef and crafts that showcase Kyoto's handiwork. The event will run from August 29th to September 3rd.

Kyoto is the number one consumer of bread, coffee, and beef in Japan. This year's 26th Kyoto Exhibition will feature a selection of delicious dishes, including beef, that even Kyoto locals highly recommend. Many items exclusive to Isetan Shinjuku will also be available. The bread specialty shop Prunya will be offering the sweet and spicy "Kyoto Beef Sukiyaki Sandwich" (1,296 yen, tax included, 2 slices) and "Kyoto Beef Roast Beef Sandwich" (1,620 yen, tax included, 2 slices), both of which are made with Kyoto beef, Kujo leek, and Kyoto gluten, exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku. Other notable beef dishes available exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku include the "Beef Fillet Cutlet and Dashimaki Bento" (1,944 yen, tax included), a collaboration bento featuring Toriyama Ukichi's beef fillet cutlet and Daitokuji Saikiya's rolled omelet, and Gion Okumura's "Shibazuke Beef Cutlet and Egg Sandwich" (2,201 yen, tax included, limited to 30 per day). The eat-in menu will include popular noodles and desserts such as Maeda Coffee's "Kuroge Wagyu Roast Beef Bowl Set" (2,484 yen including tax / drink included), which is only available at Isetan Shinjuku, Shinpuku Saikan's "Kujo Negi Dandan Noodles" (1,188 yen including tax, limited to 30 per day), and Gion Kinana's "Kuro Mitsuki Kinako Shaved Ice" (1,001 yen including tax).
