Green Bean to Bar Chocolate, a bean-to-bar chocolate specialty store that does everything by hand from the cacao beans to the chocolate, will be releasing two new chocolate bars, "CHUAO" and "CHUAO -NIBS-," exclusively online from July 1st to coincide with the opening of their online store.
The two new products, "Chuao" and "Chuao+Nibs," were completed after numerous trial runs. These original bars make full use of the flavors that are characteristic of Chuao, a Venezuelan chocolate known as "the legendary cacao" and "the best cacao in the world." They feature the distinctive acidity of prunes and citrus fruits, as well as a powerful aroma that lingers on the palate despite their smooth texture.
The packaging features the word "Chuao" in vibrant blue on white Japanese paper. The simple design, unusual for green bean-to-bar chocolate, was specially created to evoke the blue of the church square where cocoa beans are dried using the same methods used for 450 years. It also pays homage to the sincere work that goes into producing beans in Chuao village.
