Paris-based artist Samon Takahashi, who works internationally, will be holding an exhibition titled "Walking in the Sky - IN THE SKY I AM WALKING -" at Spiral Garden in Aoyama, Tokyo, from June 25th to 30th. This is Takahashi's first large-scale solo exhibition in Japan. The exhibition features six works that explore the concepts of "the gap between science and reality, the contradictions faced by modern humans as evolved individuals, and the extreme beauty and possibilities that exist in fantasy worlds," using light, sound, and color. Through the works and workshops, the exhibition attempts to return to the fundamental question of "what art can do." Additionally, on the opening day of the exhibition, a related event, "Godzilla and the Phoenix," will be held. Takahashi's group, OuUnPo, is comprised of 16 members from 10 countries, including artists, curators, and researchers, and includes Takahashi as a core member. Unfamiliar store clerks will appear at Spiral Market, Spiral Garden will suddenly transform into a concert venue, and a poetry reading will be held in front of Nobuyoshi Araki's photograph "Irogoto" (1994), which is displayed on the wall of the emergency stairs.

Samon Takahashi was born in France in 1970. As an assistant to Fabrice Hybert, a genius in the contemporary art world, he was involved in the production of numerous works, including those shown at the Venice Biennale. In 1999, he held his first solo exhibition, "#1," at Gallery 360°. He has since held solo and group exhibitions in Paris, Los Angeles, Bucharest, and other cities.
