Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot will be holding a pop-up event at The Stage on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building from June 12th to 18th. The event will feature advance sales of collaboration watches paired with limited-edition straps featuring works by photographer Mika Ninagawa. The limited-edition straps feature Ninagawa's signature floral and butterfly motifs and come in three sizes: 38mm and 41mm for the Big Bang and 33mm for the Classic Fusion. Also, a first for Japan, a "Strap Bar" will be set up. Visitors can choose their favorite strap from a variety of options, including classic rubber, colorful options, alligator leather, denim, and animal prints. A talk show featuring Ninagawa and Takagiwa Kaori, editor-in-chief of the women's fashion magazine Dazzle, will also be held on June 14th at 7:00 PM.
Hublot is a luxury watch brand founded in Switzerland in 1980. The brand name Hublot means "porthole" in French, and its distinctive features include a case reminiscent of a ship's round hole and the use of screws. In the same year, the company attracted attention at the Basel Fair watch fair by unveiling a watch that combined a high-quality gold watch case with a casual rubber strap. In 2005, the company unveiled the "Big Bang," which featured a new concept of "The Art Of Fusion (the fusion of different materials and ideas)," and in 2010, it unveiled a model equipped with the "Unico," a movement developed entirely in-house.
