On June 3rd, Tatsuhiko Adachi, Wako Senior Managing Executive Officer and former Ginza Mitsukoshi store manager, was appointed president of Wako Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo). 
President Adachi was born in Tokyo in 1952. He graduated from the Faculty of Commerce at Keio University in 1975. He joined Mitsukoshi (now Mitsukoshi Isetan Holdings) the same year. After 14 years of experience at the Ginza store, he was involved in the renewal of all Mitsukoshi stores, including the remodeling of Ginza Mitsukoshi. He served as store manager at the store from March 2008, and after retiring as store manager in March 2013, he became Wako Senior Managing Executive Officer.
Wako is a retail business within the Seiko Group. Its flagship store is located at the Ginza 4-Chome intersection, with branches and boutiques located in airports and hotels. The flagship store's clock tower is a symbol of Ginza.
