A pop-up shop for Babaghuri, a lifestyle brand born from Jurgen Lehl, is open on the 5th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store until June 18th. The shop features new items focused on the Indian traditional sari. The patchwork coasters and sashiko accessories are all individually crafted by designer Jurgen Lehl, with color schemes specified by him. Other items on offer include chairs and center tables crafted almost entirely by hand from Indonesian teak, tea grown in Okinawan fields, bamboo baskets, soap, and other household goods. Babaghuri opened a specialty shop on the first floor of Jurgen Lehl's headquarters in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, Tokyo, in 2006 (currently closed until early September for renovations). The shop offers a comprehensive lineup of clothing, accessories, furniture, tableware, and other household goods crafted with natural materials and dyes, all handcrafted by artisans. A book published in 2007 focusing on the menu of the company's employee cafeteria, "Jurgen Lehl's Employee Cafeteria" (written by Midori Takahashi, PHP Institute), became a bestseller.
