Created by two renowned perfumers, Françoise Caron and Christophe Raynaud, the brand's eau de colognes respect the traditional method of "aqua admirabilis," a medieval eau de cologne from Cologne, Germany, and are crafted using a low alcohol content, water, and fragrances to create "authentic" colognes. Based on citrus notes, it leaves no lingering scent and creates an aromatic impression, making it an item you won't tire of wearing from morning to night.
"Splash Orange Ameur" is a fragrance blended with precious and noble ingredients in the world of fragrance, such as Brazilian bitter orange peel and Calabrian vermouth tree leaves and twigs; "Grand Chalet" combines the sweet scent of linden and mimosa flowers with honey, milk, and a light lemon aroma, with a base note of blond wood and vanilla; and "Élix du Flay" brings a wonderful sensation with wild herbs and medicinal plants such as mugwort, clove, and clary sage. Other fragrances include Eau Fugasse, which combines sharpness and elegance with citrus, orange, and elegant bergamot, adding a touch of lemon cocktail with a green accent; Eau Chic, which meticulously balances white flowers, ylang-ylang, crushed rose, and tuberose; and Eau de Cologne Astier de Villatte, which adds light floral notes to the breath of verbena, lavender, rosemary, and basil, creating a refreshing splash reminiscent of waking Sleeping Beauty in a meadow. In collaboration with Commune de Paris, a rebellious, cutting-edge fashion and design brand created by three Parisian creators, Cologne 1871 combines the scents of Sicilian lemon, rosemary, and bergamot with two synthetic fragrances: benzaldehyde, invented in 1866, and coumarin, invented in 1870. It creates a unique flavor that defies conventional wisdom.
Each eau de cologne comes in a blown glass bottle design. It is available in three sizes: a 50ml (13,200 yen), a 150ml (20,200 yen) spray bottle, and a 900ml (50,000 yen) splash bottle.
Available at the fragrance corner on the first floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku, ARTS&SCIENCE Aoyama, ARTS&SCIENCE Kyoto, H.P.DECO, United Arrows Roppongi Hills store, and Antelope.
