Blurring the lines. Stella McCartney's simple Fall/Winter 2018-19 collection.

Stella McCartney held her Fall/Winter 2018-19 women's collection show at the Paris Opera on March 5th. The show also featured eight looks from her Fall/Winter 2018-19 men's collection, which was unveiled in Los Angeles in January, as part of a capsule collection exclusive to her own stores (on sale at the end of June). The masculine and effortless mood characteristic of Stella McCartney continues this season. A flowing dress made from the lining of a men's coat was paired underneath a jacket with exposed seams and darts. Other items featured included tailored pants with a reconstructed look that appeared to be layered over shorts at the front, a pearl bush and liquor dress inspired by a lingerie slip dress, and a top featuring a print motif of the work of 1960s British artist J.H. Lynch.

Meanwhile, for men, gray melange pinstripe tailoring and tweed checked outerwear were simply layered with V-neck knitwear and white T-shirts, while a zipped jacket made from Stella McCartney's signature nappa-like material, Skin Free Skin, was paired with deep-leg tuxedo pants in a black-on-black style. The runway was graced with subtly deconstructed, classic and timeless pieces that fit into both men's and women's wardrobes.

The knit upper sneakers featured in both the men's and women's collections feature hooks instead of glue for connection parts, and a sustainable design that allows the individual parts to be disassembled to extend the life of the shoes.
