[Updated] Original movie from Kotori Film, Grimm Spunky, and Eden Works! Mitsukoshi Isetan "Flower Festival" campaign begins

Event Date:2018.02.21-03.06
Feb 8, 2018
The Isetan Mitsukoshi Group will be holding a fashion campaign called "Flower Festival" at each of its stores to herald the start of spring.

For 2018, the communication concept for the "Flower Festival" is "people who love flowers." Inspired by the flower movement of the 1960s and 1970s, the "Flower Festival" expresses the free sensibility that lives within love, peace, fashion, and music, with a modern feel centered around music and flowers. The event will be enhanced by the original omnibus movie "WILD FLOWERS ~People Who Love Flowers~," which unfolds four stories themed around "people who love flowers." Directed by Shimada Daisuke of Qotori film Inc., the film's original song, "The Flowers," which directly appeals to the spring mood, was produced by the new generation rock unit GLIM SPANKY.

The film also combines the flower art of Shinozaki Emi of edenworks, a flower creator who maximizes the potential of flowers with her unique sensibility, to express the creative worldview of the Flower Festival. It will inspire ageless adults who are passionate about the things they love, regardless of age, with the excitement of looking forward to the new season.

In addition, the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building show window will feature lifelike mannequins and floral arrangements by Emi Shinozaki, showcasing the fashion industry's increasingly focused emphasis on inclusivity and diversity through the use of models of a wide range of ages and styles. In keeping with the concept of "flower waste," the flowers displayed in the window will be transformed into dried flowers during the installation, in keeping with the idea of preventing waste.

Items worn in the original movie will also be available in-store. Beautiful People's cupra dress (¥91,800 including tax, scheduled for release in late March), Liberty print dress (¥118,800 including tax, scheduled for release in late April), and harness belt (¥54,000) are available at TOKYO Closet on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building. Mame's blouse (¥59,400 including tax) and pants (¥83,160 including tax) are available at Re-Style on the third floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building, as well as Isetan Salone Roppongi, Isetan House, and Lucua Osaka. The blouson (¥70,200 including tax) is available at Re-Style on the third floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building, as well as Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, Ginza Mitsukoshi, Isetan Salone Roppongi, and Isetan House. Also, on March 25th, Grim Spanky performed a rooftop concert on the rooftop turret of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building. A video recording of the concert has been released for a limited time until March 6th. The concert consisted of eight songs, including the debut of their new song "The Flowers," which is the campaign song. The concert was broadcast on LINE LIVE, which had a viewership of over 179,633. Additionally, photos of Matsuo Remi and Kamemoto Hiroki, taken at Isetan Shinjuku on the same day as the concert, have also been released.
