Spanish fashion brand Desigual will hold its first-ever Japan event, "Seminaked Party by Desigual," at its Harajuku store (Winbell Plaza Harajuku, 6-10-8 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) starting at 10:00 AM on the 22nd. The event has been held on the first day of sales in cities around the world, including Barcelona, New York, and Paris, and has attracted over 4,000 participants. It has always been a hot topic, with half-naked customers lining up in front of the store. For this Japan debut, the first 100 customers to arrive in their swimsuits will receive two free items from the spring/summer collection. Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Registration begins at 9:00 AM. Guests must don special bathrobes, which will be distributed at designated locations, and enter the store at the opening signal. The event will begin with everyone taking off their bathrobes in unison to the countdown. Breakfast will also be served to participants.
Desigual was founded in 1984. Popular for its colorful and unique designs, it has 230 directly operated stores, mainly in Europe and the United States, and is sold in 9,000 select shops and department stores in 90 countries. Last year, it recorded sales of over 22 million items worldwide. In Japan, the brand opened a flagship store in Harajuku in December last year and currently operates nine stores. In addition to the main collection, it also carries "Desigual by L," a collaboration line with Disney, entertainment group Cirque du Soleil, and Christian Lacroix.
