British fashion brand Fred Perry has announced a collaboration with Belgian designer Raf Simons, who has a deep respect for the culture of the North of England.
Raf Simons always incorporates details evocative of the culture of the North of England into his eponymous original collection. From the artwork of Peter Saville to the music and style of New Order and Joy Division, Raf Simons' identity and community have always revolved around this culture.
This season focuses on the soul scene of northern England, where fashion, music and various cultures are mashed up. Raf Simons has reinterpreted classic Fred Perry items with his unique sensibility, and expressed them with a color palette centered around black, patches designed specifically for this collection inspired by soul record labels, and large embroidery of fictional artists and song titles on the back.
In addition to polo shirts, T-shirts, and oversized sweatshirts, this exclusive collection will allow you to feel like you're part of youth culture, including a brushed cotton twill denim jacket and matching trousers, a cotton gabardine Harrington jacket, a one-piece blazer with a graphic patch on the left chest, and Raf Simons' iconic, collector's item, the fishtail parka, adorned with bold prints and graphic patches on the back and sleeves.
