Maison Margiela will be holding a pop-up store at the Hankyu Umeda Main Store from January 24th to 30th, featuring the new "Tabi" shoes from the 2018 Spring/Summer collection.


Inspired by traditional Japanese footwear, the "Tabi" shoes began as boots featuring a tabi-shaped toe and cylindrical heel. The pop-up store, titled "Discover the Maison Margiela 'Tabi' story Spring/Summer 2018," will feature the full Tabi collection, including classic ankle boots and ballet flats, as well as slippers from the 2018 Spring/Summer "Avant Premiere" collection, and a limited-edition pink colorway of the metallic Tabi boots. It will communicate the identity and philosophy of Tabi, which is constantly evolving and changing.
