Jun 21, 2013

HYSTERIC GLAMOUR opened a store in Amazon's fashion category on the 21st. To celebrate the opening, the brand has begun accepting pre-orders for its limited-edition version of The Rolling Stones' limited edition special box set, "The Brussels Affair Box Set" (157,500 yen). The set includes a 180g high-quality vinyl LP (3LP and 2CD), a book about the Brussels show and the 1973 European tour, and a Seiko watch featuring the Rolling Stones' 1970s "Tonge & Lips" logo. The set also includes a 7-inch single autographed by former Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor and a limited-edition brand T-shirt with a photo print, exclusively available at HYSTERIC GLAMOUR. Pre-orders are open until the 30th, and the set will be released on August 12th. The Hysteric Glamour Amazon Store currently sells accessories and T-shirts. An apparel line will also be launched in the future. Hysteric Glamour was founded in 1984 by designer Nobuhiko Kitamura. A fan of rock music since his mid-teens, Kitamura has offered collections that combine rock and fashion since the brand's inception. He has connections with many artists, including Sonic Youth, Primal Scream, Patti Smith, and Courtney Love. He is also involved in the contemporary photography world, having independently produced and published collections of works by photographers such as Daido Moriyama, Nobuyoshi Araki, and Terry Richardson. In 2006, he opened the contemporary art gallery "Rat Hole Gallery" in the basement of his Aoyama store.
