Event Date:2018.01.30-03.10
Jan 22, 2018
The "2018 Mochi Hakobu Katachi Exhibition," showcasing works created by first-year students in the Design Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tokyo University of the Arts, will be held from January 30th to March 10th at the "World Bag Museum" in Asakusa, Tokyo.

The Mochi Hakobu Katachi Exhibition has been held every year with a different theme, dating back to the joint project with Tokyo University of the Arts, "ACE Co., Ltd. Design Exhibition: Mochi Hakobu Katachi," which was held at the Tokyo University of the Arts Museum Chinretsukan in 2011. This time, 44 first-year students from the Department of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts will be exhibiting a special exhibition of designs themed on the theme of "Bags of the Future," featuring "soft and foldable shapes" that evoke the lives and lifestyles of the future.

Works that give a glimpse of future life will be on display, including "Libertas," a bag with a honeycomb structure that can hold any shape of item, and "Flexy," a net-like pouch that focuses once again on touch in an increasingly hands-free world.
