"KOREAN POP CULTURE NOW," an event where you can experience Korean pop culture, will be held at Omotesando ROCKET from January 26th to 31st, 2018.
The Korean culture scene is attracting attention not only in the fields of music and film, but also in fashion and art, and the event will feature cutting-edge illustrators, painters, fashion brand creators, and other creators active across a wide range of genres.
Noh Sang Ho/nemonan
The illustrators and painters include Seoyoung (tototatatu), who has over 40,000 followers on Instagram and creates a retro, girly world; Ram ham, who is popular for her dreamy, slightly wicked illustrations; Noh Sang Ho (nemonan), who designed the CD jackets for the popular Korean rock band HYUKOH; as well as Kimi & 12, Choi Sungmin, and bonbonohri.
Seivson
Fashion brands include Seivson, which launched its Spring/Summer 2018 collection and has already attracted attention from Japanese fashion magazines and online magazines, NEONMOON, whose pop-up shop at Laforet Harajuku was a huge success, and CHANCECHANCE. While the lineup is diverse in genre and style, it features creators who are leading the current Korean pop culture scene.
In addition to exhibiting and selling each brand's works and items, posters, postcards, and zines will also be available for purchase. This is a rare opportunity to experience the latest Korean pop culture, which is hard to find in Japan.
