Julien David has released its first original fragrance candles.
The idea for this candle was born when designer Julien David came across a lightly rose-scented candle from a long-established Kyoto shop. He then worked with a candle maker in his native France to realize the idea.
After experimenting with various blends over several months, the "Jōmon Forest scented candle," with its cypress and wood scent, and the "Heian Garden scented candle," with its yuzu, citrus, and lime scent, were born. These new items are characteristic of the brand, which is always inspired by Japan and its culture, fusing it with its own unique sensibilities and connecting it to its creations. Each item is priced at 7,400 yen and will be available exclusively at the JULIEN DAVID JINGUMAE SHOP in Tokyo and Colette in Paris.
