J.S. PANCAKE CAFE, a pancake shop proposed by JOURNAL STANDARD, will be selling a winter-only menu at all of its branches from January 9th to February 18th, 2018.
This time, the theme is "Black & White," and two types of pancakes with a sophisticated flavor and finished in monotone colors will be available. You can enjoy "transforming" pancakes, each with a different look when paired with the accompanying sauce.
"Black Tiramisu Pancake" (1,280 yen)
The "Black Tiramisu Pancake" (1,280 yen) is a black pancake made with a tiramisu-style pancake. It's made with three layers of batter made with a mixture of cocoa and espresso, sandwiched between a generous amount of mascarpone cream. Topped with vanilla ice cream and bittersweet espresso syrup, it has an affogato-like flavor.
"White Rum Raisin Pancakes" (1,280 yen)
"White Rum Raisin Pancakes" (1,280 yen) are white pancakes topped with rum-flavored cream and a generous amount of sweet raisins. The white pancakes are finished with white chocolate and large marshmallows, and the fragrant, crispy "Dentelle" pastry adds a nice texture. The maple butter sauce adds a rich flavor, making them even more delicious.
In addition, for a limited time only during the fair, Wednesday will be called "White Wednesday" and Friday will be called "Black Friday", with each menu item priced at half price after 6pm.
