"La La Land in Concert" is a new type of event that combines film and live music, with the global hit film "La La Land" being screened on a giant screen while the musical parts are performed live by a full orchestra. At their Japan concert this fall, a long line formed in the lobby in front of a steel board featuring Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) and Mia (Emma Stone) striking their familiar pose, waiting to take commemorative photos. Many female fans also showed up wearing dresses in the same style as Mia, creating a scorchingly hot atmosphere in the venue even before the show began. As soon as the Cinema Concert began, applause and cheers erupted along with the performance, creating an atmosphere just like a concert venue. Immediately after the performance ended, social media timelines were flooded with comments and photos of excitement and emotion.

For the long-awaited encore performance, Eric Ochsner will continue to conduct as he did this fall, and the orchestra will be one of Japan's most prestigious, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, joined by a jazz ensemble. In addition, Wayne Bergeron, who participated in the recording of the film's original soundtrack, will be visiting Japan as guest trumpeter. The tense and powerful live performance by the orchestra and jazz band, perfectly matched with the sweet and sad vocals of Mia and Sebastian projected on the giant screen, is the true joy of a cinema concert. Please note that none of the film's cast or singers will be appearing.
Advance ticket sales for the performance will begin on December 11th, ahead of general ticket sales on January 13th, 2018. Details and advance ticket sales for the Nagoya performance only will be announced on the 14th. All seats are reserved, with S seats costing 9,800 yen (tax included) and A seats costing 7,800 yen (tax included).
