TSUTAYA has opened "TSUTAYA BOOK APARTMENT," a service based on the common living concept that provides a relaxing space and working space centered around books, in Shinjuku's Minim Building I and II.

The service proposes a new style of purchasing by creating the most relaxing and comfortable space in Shinjuku and facilitating new encounters with books. The coworking space allows customers to bring in items purchased at Starbucks Coffee on the third floor of the same building. This environment allows customers to concentrate on work with a coffee in hand, and the book helps to spark new ideas. The coworking space is equipped with power outlets, printers, iMacs, and iPads. Free Wi-Fi is available on all floors.


In the relaxation spaces on the 5th and 6th floors, you can take off your shoes, change into loungewear, and relax while reading a book or manga. There are also private booths where you can take your time looking for the book you're really looking for. You can even lie down in the booths, which are equipped with mats. The 5th floor is also equipped with lockers, shower rooms, and powder rooms, for which there is a fee.
