Noi Sawaragi and Teiya Iwabuchi to hold talk event on their new book, art criticism, at NADiff a/p/a/r/t

Event Date:2017.12.15
Dec 8, 2017
NADiff Apart (a/p/a/r/t), a bookstore in Ebisu, will host a talk event titled "EVENINGS #From Post-Art to Post-Art, and What's Next" on December 15th, focusing on art critic Noi Sawaragi's new book, "Shinbijutsuron."

Shinbijutsuron (Shinbijutsuron) (¥4,536 including tax)

This event will feature a conversation between Noi Sawaragi, author of "Shinbijutsuron," and Teiya Iwabuchi, editor-in-chief of Bijutsu Techo and editor of "Shinbijutsuron" and "Post-Art." The subject of this talk, "Earthquake Art Theory," is a groundbreaking art critique following "Post-Art Theory" (2015, winner of the 25th Yoshida Hidekazu Prize), which connects the geological conditions of the Japanese archipelago, which has repeatedly experienced destruction and reconstruction due to natural disasters, with the current state of art.

The two will discuss the state of art in 2017 since "Earthquake Art Theory," as well as their outlook for future activities. Their conversation will likely reveal the key to understanding art in times of emergency, which continue into 2017.

This talk is limited to 50 participants, and seats are limited. Registration is open online (http://www.nadiff.com/?p=8027) or by phone (03-3446-4977).
