An exhibition by textile designer Suzuki Masaru, "Suzuki Masaru's Textile Exhibition - Everything You See is Color and Pattern," will be held at Mitsubishi Jisho ARTIUM in Fukuoka from December 9th to January 14th, 2018.

Suzuki Masaru is a textile designer who has attracted global attention for his diverse activities, including his own brand, "OTTAIPNU," collaborations with Finland's MARIMEKKO and UNIQLO, designs for bags, watches, and furniture, and spatial installations. This exhibition, his first in Kyushu, is themed around the theme of "Everything Visible, Colored and Patterned," and features approximately 100 pieces, including textiles, umbrellas, and fabric panels. Experience a mysterious space created by vibrant colors and patterns, humorous motifs, and dynamic compositions. Various events related to the exhibition will also be held during the exhibition period. On December 16th, a talk show featuring design journalists Mirei Takahashi and Masaru Suzuki will be held. The talk will run for approximately 90 minutes from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM on the 10th floor of the venue. The event is limited to 60 people and the participation fee is 500 yen. On the 17th, a workshop to make original badges will be held on the 8th floor of the venue, with Suzuki Masaru as the instructor. Registration for the workshop will be from 1pm to 3pm on the day, with the participation fee being 800 yen per badge (limited to 100 badges) and will end when supplies last.

In addition, a pop-up shop selling Ottaipiinu items and books will open inside Art Shop.G, a shop attached to the venue, and textiles will also be on display in the atrium space of the I'ms Restaurant Zone on the 12th floor of the facility. The colorful works, woven with colors and patterns, will remind you of the excitement and thrills you had almost forgotten.
