Grace Tan incorporates design, art, and mathematical thinking to create her works, exploring the meanings and relationships hidden in materials and forms. In 2003, she attracted attention with her "The Kwodrent Series," a series of pleated sculptures exploring the structure and methodology of wearable fabric. Subsequently, through repeated explorations of materials, form, and structure, her work has moved beyond fabric and into the realms of fine art, sculpture, and objects. In recent years, she has transcended the boundaries of fashion to create dynamic installations and spatial structures, earning her acclaim both domestically and internationally as one of Singapore's leading artists.

This exhibition brings together approximately 35 representative works from her 15 years of creation, from her earliest to most recent works. The diverse forms, colors, and textures of these entirely handmade pieces will fill the entire gallery space with a unique atmosphere.

On January 20, 2018, a material workshop will be held with instructor Grace Tan. Using loop pins (plastic tags used to attach price tags to clothing, etc.), which were also used in the work "Refuge," participants will play with materials and create palm-sized pieces. Interpretation will be provided.
