■SeoHyun, lead vocalist of the Korean idol group Girls' Generation, was born on June 28, 1991, in Seoul, South Korea.
She was scouted at the age of 12 and passed an audition. After four and a half years of training, she debuted as a member of Girls' Generation in 2007. Seohyun is the youngest member.
The single "Gee," released in 2010, was a huge hit, winning her the New Artist Award at the 52nd Japan Record Awards that year and the Best New Artist Award at the Japan Gold Disc Awards. Her seventh single, "LOVE & GIRLS," was released in Japan on June 19th.
■Norika Fujiwara, an actress and model, was born in 1971 and is from Hyogo Prefecture. While still a university student, she won the grand prize at the 24th Miss Japan Grand Prix Contest in 1992, marking her debut in the entertainment industry. The following year, she was appointed as the Toray Swimsuit Campaign Girl, catapulting her to fame. She subsequently appeared as a TV personality on variety shows in the Kansai region and was an exclusive model for the fashion magazine "JJ." In 1995, she moved to Tokyo and began her career as an actress. Around the same time, she transferred from JJ to "CanCam." She is currently active in a variety of fields, including acting, variety show hosting, and K-1 main cast. In 2001, she voiced Princess Fiona in the animated film "Shrek" and attended the Cannes Film Festival. In 2007, she married Tomonori Jinnai. Their wedding reception in May was so well-received that a special program was aired and broadcast live, but they divorced in March 2009. She is actively involved in international and charity activities, reporting to East Timor, Cambodia, and Afghanistan, and has even founded the NPO "Smile Please Fujiwara Norika World Children's Fund."
