Milanese jeweler Pomellato is launching a capsule collection featuring tourmaline quartz in its iconic "Nudo" piece, marking the Maison's first use of the stone.
Nudo, striking for its natural beauty, was created for women seeking to express their individuality and has been beloved by women worldwide since its launch in 2001. Now, these special necklaces, earrings, and rings have been created and will be available at the "DISCOVER YOUR COLORS" pop-up store, which will be open for a limited time from Wednesday, July 20th at The Stage on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building.
"Nudo," which means "naked" in Italian, originated from the desire to create something different from the large, flashy jewelry that was trending at the time. This striking yet pure ring captivated viewers with its setting technique, concealed in the bezel, which creates the illusion of the stone floating.
The unconventional solitaire ring features a square shape, with an asymmetrical, softly faceted top. This unique "nudo" cut is achieved by skilled artisans creating 57 irregular facets on a cabochon-shaped stone.
The newly launched necklace and earrings feature the Clessidra cut, named after the Italian word for "hourglass," featuring two stones seamlessly joined together and surrounded by a gold band at the center. This special cut opens up endless possibilities for captivating combinations, including fresh color nuances and translucent or opaque stones. The double-sided cut allows the stone to come into direct contact with the skin, bringing the piece closer to you.
