A new, interactive Cajun seafood dining establishment, "Catch the Cajun Seafood," has opened along Cat Street in Harajuku, Tokyo. It will have a pre-opening on November 2nd, followed by a grand opening on the 9th.
Catch the Cajun Seafood is an interactive Cajun seafood dining establishment that offers an adaptation of the "catch" (hand-caught) style of Cajun seafood that is popular on the West Coast of the United States and in Hawaii. Guests can enjoy an exciting seafood experience, focusing on Dungeness crab, a West Coast specialty, with a spectacular performance of a whole crab being cooked right in front of them, and the extraordinary feeling of eating seafood served directly to their table with their hands. The Dungeness crab, stone crab, and lobster used are wild-caught, and only seafood caught at the peak of flavor is air-shipped. After an order is placed, the seafood is steamed until plump, locking in the flavor and amplifying the sweetness. Guests can choose from three sauces: an original Cajun sauce made with garlic butter and a traditional Louisiana sauce, "Cajun sauce," a black sesame-based pepper sauce, and a lemon garlic butter sauce. There are also three levels of spiciness to choose from. Catch the Cajun Seafood has also begun accepting reservations online (https://www.tablecheck.com/shops/catch-the-cajun-seafood/reserve) ahead of the restaurant's opening. Reservations can be made from November 2nd, the pre-opening day. In addition, the first 30 groups to make a reservation will receive a complimentary Dungeness crab, and from the grand opening on the 9th onwards, the first 300 customers to arrive will receive an original smartphone case.
