Event Date:2017.10.13-2018.05.27
Oct 23, 2017

The Taro Okamoto Memorial Museum in Minami-Aoyama is hosting the first part of its special exhibition, "Tower of the Sun 1967-2018: What Taro Okamoto Asked," from October 13th to February 18th, 2018.

This special exhibition is the first of its kind to allow visitors to re-experience in 3D Taro Okamoto's artistic exhibition space at the Osaka Expo Theme Pavilion, which until now has only been seen in photographs. A model of the tower's interior from the time of the Osaka Expo will also be on display, and Kaiyodo, a company known throughout the figure maker world, has recreated the message space he created half a century ago in a diorama.

In addition, the second period of this special exhibition, which will run from February 21st to May 27th, will feature a partial change of exhibits to introduce part of the Tower of the Sun restoration project.
