KEY BEAUT.Y./Silkscreen on paper/2017

A pop-up shop by one of Japan's leading contemporary artists, Tadanori Yokoo, will be open from October 4th to 17th at Art & Frame, 5th floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku.

Tadanori Yokoo began his career in the 1960s, working on graphic design for film and theater posters, book covers, and more, as well as designing the art for Tenjo Sajiki, the theater company founded by playwright Shuji Terayama. He later became a painter, producing well-known works such as "Waterfall" and "Y-Junction," some of which are well-known today. This will be the second time Yokoo has held a pop-up at Isetan Shinjuku, following his first in 2016. During the event, prints including his latest work, "KEY BEAUT.Y." will be on display, along with approximately 40 of his now-hard-to-find classic posters, as well as new merchandise. We hope you'll enjoy the world of Yokoo, where his strong individuality shines, at this pop-up.
