Special yukata from Mina Perhonen, Facetasm, and more. Directed by Yamaguchi Sota.

Jun 5, 2013

Isetan Shinjuku and textile manufacturer Hinaya Kyoto have announced a yukata collaboration with a Tokyo designer brand. The collection will be available for purchase starting on the 19th at the Isetan Shinjuku 7th floor kimono promotion space and Hinaya Kyoto Kiyomizu-Gojozaka store. Four participating brands—THEATRE PRODUCTS, mina perhonen, FACETASM, and ANREALAGE—are participating, and the project is directed by Souta Yamaguchi, stylist and director of the select shop Mikirihasshin. The theme for this collaboration is "Stylish Japanese and Western Style with Yukata." Going beyond the traditional yukata coordination, a new "yukata" style incorporating modern and street fashion is proposed. Each brand utilizes Japanese and Western materials, original dyeing and weaving techniques, textiles, silhouettes, and more to create yukata, obi, accessories, sandals, and more.
