Sales of the first collaboration items between sacai and The North Face® will begin on October 11th with an event at The Stage on the first floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku. The event at Isetan Shinjuku will run until the 17th, and on the 14th a limited online store (https://store.sacai.jp/thenorthface) will open on sacai's website, where items can only be purchased from within Japan.

This major collaboration was unveiled at the 2017-18 Fall/Winter Men's Collection and 2017 Pre-Autumn Women's Collection shows held in Paris in January 2017. Based on The North Face's iconic mountain jacket and Nuptse jacket, Sacai designer Chitose Abe has incorporated the brand's signature hybrid aesthetic into these items. Each piece combines classic clothing archetypes to create a design that is characteristic of Sacai, while also incorporating practicality with outdoor technology such as waterproofing, moisture retention, and quick-drying properties, making them suitable for modern urban dwellers.

Based on the concept of men's workwear, the collection incorporates a simple, light, original and unique style, such as a practical parka with the voluminous silhouette of a mod coat, and includes a lineup of 11 items in total: four styles for men and women, and three unisex styles.

For men, the collection includes the "Long Coat" (3 colors/72,000 yen each), the "Bomber Jacket" (3 colors/88,000 yen each), the "Pants" (3 colors/30,000 yen each), and the "T-shirt" (4 colors/18,000 yen each), while for women, the collection includes the "Long Coat" (3 colors/72,000 yen each), the "Bomber Jacket" (3 colors/88,000 yen each), the "Down Jacket" (3 colors/76,000 yen each), and the "T-shirt" (4 colors/18,000 yen each), and for unisex, the "Hoodie" (4 colors/30,000 yen each), the "Cap" (2 colors/30,000 yen each), and the "Beebie" (3 colors/17,000 yen each).
