A pop-up store for Louis Vuitton's 2018 Cruise Collection will be open from September 29th to October 12th in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo (5-2-13 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo). The collection, which was unveiled at the MIHO MUSEUM in Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture, marking the brand's first Cruise Collection show in Japan, is inspired by Japanese culture and incorporates traditional motifs throughout. Icons and symbols designed by Kansai Yamamoto, a designer whom Women's Collection Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière honours, as well as characters such as kabuki masks and Daruma dolls, are featured on bags and accessories. The pop-up store, which will be open only in Japan, will offer an advance sale of carefully selected leather goods, ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories and other items from the collection, as well as Japan-exclusive items. The pop-up store will be made up of two floors, with the first floor displaying unique, highly artistic gimmicks and installations that evoke the collection. The second floor will also feature a diverse lineup of items, creating a playful space with a "Japanese" and "festival" theme.
