The Snoopy Museum in Roppongi, Tokyo, will be hosting a special exhibition, "Love is Wonderful," from October 7 to April 8, 2018.
"Tempestuous love," "Forbidden love," "Love over the rainbow," "Love that hasn't yet begun"... The Peanuts comics are full of thrilling love stories. Charlie Brown sighs in front of a red-haired girl, and the nagging Lucy is devoted to Schroeder. In fact, Snoopy himself has a tragic story: his bride was stolen away by his brother Spike just before their wedding. This exhibition will introduce these heart-warming stories of Snoopy and the Peanuts gang through approximately 80 original drawings and original video.
New merchandise will also be available at the BROWN'S STORE. The Cosme Kitchen, themed around the exhibition, will offer lip balm (1,000 yen each), hand cream (1,800 yen), and a set with a mini eco bag (2,900 yen), as well as the L.L.Bean Boat and Tote, which comes in two colors, black and red (10,000 yen for medium size, 8,000 yen for small size), knit cushions featuring Faron and Snoopy (3,800 yen each), knit pouches featuring Snoopy, Woodstock, and Faron (2,600 yen each), Snoopy candles (1,500 yen each in two colors), and Fire King candles (4,500 yen each in three types).
Also, Cafe Blanket will be offering the "Lucy and Schroeder Open Sandwich" (1,630 yen) from October 7th to January 14th, 2018, inspired by Lucy's unrequited love for Schroeder as she continues to confess her love to him, and the "Sally and Truffle Open Sandwich" (1,630 yen) from January 15th to April 8th, 2018, inspired by the love triangle between Linus, Truffle, and Sally. New menu items will also be available in line with the theme of the exhibition, including the "Brownie Charles's Love Sundae" (1,100 yen), inspired by Charlie Brown's nervous moment when he mispronounces his own name after falling in love at first sight; the "Share Float -my sweet babboo-" (1,100 yen), inspired by the love between Sally and Linus; the sweet and sour "Happy Wedding! Rose Hip Tea" (880 yen), inspired by Harriet and Bill's wedding scene; and the Halloween-only "Linus and the Pumpkin Patch Waffle Bowl" (1,280 yen), available from October 7th to 31st. Additionally, from October 10th to April 8th, 2018, premium tickets (4,000 yen including tax) that come with a special diary and allow entry without a reservation will be on sale in limited quantities at all Snoopy Town shops and the official online shop from October 10th.
