 Bösendorfer Grand Piano "Camellia"
Bösendorfer Grand Piano "Camellia"
The newly released "Camellia" is based on the "Model 214VC" from Bösendorfer's popular VC series pianos, and features intricate decorations meticulously applied to the inside of the piano's lid using traditional European inlay techniques. This model is limited to 18 units worldwide. The beautifully detailed camellia design on the inside of the roof is inspired by the camellia flowers collected in the greenhouses in the Schönbrunn Palace Gardens in Vienna, Austria. A brass plate bearing the serial number is also inlaid into the clappers on the left side of the keyboard, adding a special finish befitting this limited edition model.

With a tone that combines the warmth and brilliance characteristic of Bösendorfer, known for its "Viennese tone," and an elegant appearance, this piano is also ideal for hospitality spaces such as salon concerts and receptions.

<Main features>
1. Elegant design created using traditional European techniques
The inside of the grand piano's lid is carefully decorated with delicate ornamentation using traditional European inlay techniques using different types of wood, achieving a gorgeous finish and a refined appearance. The design on the inside of the roof was inspired by the camellia flowers cultivated in the Palm House, a large greenhouse in the gardens of Schönbrunn Palace, a World Heritage Site. Using the traditional sand shading technique, which involves applying burnt sand to stained wood to create shading, the beautifully detailed pink and red camellia flowers are elegantly depicted, creating a vibrant, three-dimensional effect.

2. Music stand with a camellia flower design and a brass plate with a serial number
The music stand is made of birdseye maple and is decorated with a camellia flower design. Additionally, a brass plate engraved with a camellia flower design and the serial number is set into the clapper section on the left side of the keyboard, creating a special feel befitting this limited edition model.

3. A Piano Carefully Crafted by Austrian Artisans
The Model 214VC, on which the Camellia is based, is the world's most popular model in the VC series within the Bösendorfer lineup. It has been meticulously handcrafted over a long period of time by skilled Austrian artisans. The "single-string" technique, in which each tuning pin is individually stringed, enhances pitch stability. The bass strings are hand-wound, and over 80% of the instrument, including the soundboard, is made of high-quality spruce, allowing the entire instrument to vibrate and resonate, producing a brilliant tone that is characteristic of Bösendorfer and known as the "Viennese tone."
