London-based artist Ace, who has collaborated with Stüssy, Reebok, and Ace Hotel, will hold his first solo exhibition in Japan.

Aug 7, 2017

A.CE, one of the most talked-about artists in the UK street art scene, will hold his first solo exhibition in Japan from September 2nd to October 8th at WISH LESS gallery, a gallery and shop in Tabata, Tokyo. A.CE, a London resident, was strongly influenced by skate culture from an early age and began his artistic career inspired by the graphics and art he saw on the streets. In recent years, he has attracted attention for creating his own silkscreen posters (paste-ups) and posting them up all over London at night. A.CE's work, which has spanned a wide range of projects, from providing work for brands like STUSSY and Reebok to collaborating with the Ace Hotel, often features cartoon characters and actresses, evoking 1980s pop art while also possessing the elegance of a strong, refined lady.

The exhibition will feature mainly paste-up works that evoke the street spirit of London, and will also feature a special sale of original collaboration T-shirts between Ace and the gallery. An opening reception will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on the first day of the exhibition.
