Atelier Someka releases "flower crest brooches" with family crest motifs such as chrysanthemums, pine trees, wisteria, and butterflies

Aug 22, 2017

Atelier Someka's 2017-18 Fall/Winter collection introduces the "Flower Pattern Brooch," inspired by the design of family crests, a uniquely Japanese cultural symbol that has long been used to represent lineage, lineage, ancestry, and status. Since its founding in 1981, Atelier Someka has been creating original floral decorations, from floral ornaments that complement fashion to floral ornaments that decorate the interior. In 2008, the company was recognized for its "long-standing contributions to the development of the fashion world" and received the Kujiraoka Amiko Award at the 26th Mainichi Fashion Awards, sponsored by the Mainichi Shimbun. The newly released "Flower Pattern Brooch" features six motifs: chrysanthemum, bellflower, pine, wisteria, houndstooth, and butterfly. Each brooch comes in 12 colors: white and navy blue, and two colors dyed in the motif's theme color. Each brooch is presented in a paulownia wood box and priced at 5,800 yen.
