A photo exhibition by jazz musician Sadao Watanabe will be held at Ginza Mitsukoshi from the 12th. The exhibition features photographs taken in Africa during a trip to Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in January of this year, as well as photographs of children he has been taking for approximately 40 years. A talk show is scheduled for 11:30 AM on the 16th. TOKYO FM, the organizer of the exhibition, is running a "Human Conscious: A Heart Connected with Love for Life" campaign. A portion of the exhibited works will be sold as a charity to benefit children affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. In addition to being one of Japan's leading jazz musicians, Sadao Watanabe is also a talented photographer, having published six photo books. At the 2005 Aichi Expo, he produced a performance with 400 children from around the world, and has since performed with local children in Myanmar, Jakarta, and other places.
