The Nakamura Keith Haring Museum in Yamanashi Prefecture will host the exhibition "Patricia Field Art Collection: The World of Patricia Field" from July 1 to November 19.
Patricia Field is a charismatic New York stylist known for her work on the film "The Devil Wears Prada" and the TV drama "Sex and the City." She currently runs a brand called "Art Fashion," based on the concept of "wearable art," and is challenging herself with a novel approach to styling by curating fashion as art.
The Art Collection is a project commemorating the 10th anniversary of the museum, the only museum in the world to exhibit the works of Keith Haring, a representative figure of 1980s American art. The museum's collection includes 300 paintings, photographs, posters, sculptures, and prints, most of which are by unknown artists. 190 of these key works will be acquired by the museum and sold as boutique art.
Uninfluenced by traditional art trends and fashions, Art Brut is freely expressed, allowing visitors to experience the power that wells up from within the artist, combined with the art of Keith Haring.
