Yokohama Minato Mirai "MARK IS" Opening Celebration! Recommended Spots for Families This Weekend - June 22nd and 23rd Edition

This week, with the opening of a new mega-store in Yokohama, we'll be introducing some recommended spots for families to visit.

■Opening of MARK IS Minatomirai in Yokohama!
Location: 3-5-1 Minatomirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture
A total of 189 stores have opened, including RHC Ron Herman, a new store format from California-based select shop Ron Herman, HUMOR MARKET by A-net, a select shop stocking A-net brands, and Journal Standard's first three-category combined shop offering apparel, furniture, and food and drink.

■First time in Japan! Harry Potter Exhibition
Location: Roppongi Hills Mori Arts Center Gallery
Admission Fee: ¥2,000 for adults, ¥1,500 for junior and senior high school students, ¥1,000 for children ages 4 to elementary school.
An exhibition faithfully recreating the world of the "Harry Potter" film has begun. The exhibition began in Chicago in April 2009 and has now made its Japan debut. The venue also features attractions where you can experience popular scenes from the film. Until September 16th.
■Alicia Bay-Laurel, who works with ap bank, presents "Living on the Earth" Exhibition
Location: Gallery Speak For (28-2 Sarugaku-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, B1F)
Free Admission
Alicia Bay-Laurel is an artist who advocates eco-friendly and simple living through her paintings and music. She is a popular artist active in Japan, where she has performed live events as part of "kurkku," a project produced by ap bank. Until July 3rd.

■ Charity exhibition "I want to be of service to cats, meow" based on the Olive Mook book "Monyamur to Cats"
Location: AL 1st floor main space (3-7-17 Ebisu Minami, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo)
Free admission
The cat paintings, photographs, sculptures, handicrafts, T-shirts, etc. on display will be for sale by bidding, and the proceeds, along with sales from the exhibitors' bazaar, will be donated to cat volunteer groups. Until July 14th.
