The "Cool & Cool! Sweets Collection," a "cool"-themed sweets festival, will be held from July 3rd to 8th at the event hall on the 6th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building.
Fashion Headline will introduce some of the hottest sweets being exhibited at the event.
This time, we'll be introducing Obusedo, a chestnut confectionery specialty shop with its main store in Obuse, Nagano Prefecture, a region known for its chestnuts.
Obusedo's specialty "Chestnut Ice Cream" (351 yen) was born from the idea of "making a refreshing summer chestnut ice cream using chestnut paste." It uses chestnut paste that concentrates the aroma and flavor of chestnuts, as well as generous amounts of locally produced raw milk and eggs. The rich yet refreshing chestnut ice cream is a taste unique to Obuse, Shinshu.
This is the first time that chestnut ice cream, which is usually only available at the coffee shop at Obusedo's main store (Nagano Prefecture), will be sold in a cone. Cup ice cream will also be sold for takeaway. Because it is rich and dense, it can be difficult to arrange neatly, so during the event, professional staff will be mobilized to demonstrate how to arrange the ice cream.
The popular "Chestnut Crust / Apricot & Dainagon," made with the king of azuki beans, Dainagon, and apricots, will also be sold for takeaway (limited time only).
