The Japan Folk Crafts Museum, located in Komaba 4-chome, Meguro-ku, Tokyo, will be holding an exhibition titled "Overglaze Vessels: Tenkei Akae, Goshu Akae, and Ko-Imari Akae" from June 27 to August 27. This exhibition showcases the overglaze porcelain favored by Yanagi Muneyoshi, along with overglaze ceramics experimented with by crafts artists such as Hamada Shoji, showcasing the appeal of overglaze porcelain. The museum's overglaze porcelain collection, founded by Yanagi, is centered on Tenkei Akae, which was fired in the Jingdezhen kilns of Jiangxi Province in the late Ming dynasty, Goshu Akae, which was fired in the Zhangzhou kilns of Fujian Province, and Imari ware fired in the Hizen region of Kyushu.

In addition, a commemorative lecture entitled "About the Iroe Paintings of the Japan Folk Crafts Museum" (300 yen, admission not included) will be held on August 5th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm by reservation only (maximum capacity 100 people), featuring Machida City Museum curator Yajima Ritsuko as the lecturer.
