To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the creation of "April Vase," a row of 21 test tubes that was the debut work of Parisian interior brand Tsetse Associés, an exhibition and sale called "Masquerade Tokyo" will be held at H.P.DECO in Omotesando, Tokyo, from June 22nd to July 6th.
Tsetse Associés, created by designers Catherine Lévy and Sigolene Prébois, celebrated its 25th anniversary in May with an exhibition called "Masquerade" paying homage to "April Vase."
The exhibition at H.P.DECO will feature 27 of the 40 pieces exhibited at Merci, and these pieces will also be available for purchase. Participating artists and brands include Nathalie Lete, Astier de Villatte, Marion Graux, and Shinsuke Kawahara. Also available are limited-edition 25th-anniversary pieces: the "April Vase Edition Tsesial" (¥38,000), a vase whose test tube clasp features a 25-year-old metal coating originally created as a prototype for the "April Vase," and the "April Vase Marie Claire Maison Anniversary" (¥30,000), wrapped in a paper ribbon bearing the words "Marie Claire Maison 50th Anniversary." A free, open-to-the-public opening party will be held on the first day, the 23rd, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. A Tsetse flower shop will be open inside the store, and a live flower arranging performance by the designer will be held (two sessions, from 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM).
