Pitti Uomo in June is always a festival. With sunset well after 9 p.m., the city is teeming with tourists, and the main venue, Fortezza da Basso, welcomes visitors with a cheerful display.

However, this year's weather is just too hot. Partly in reaction to the athleisure and normcore trends, British tailored styles are making a comeback, featuring suits made from cotton-linen blends with technical materials, summer wool, and three-piece suits with leather shoes and Boston bags. Influencers from select shops stocking these items help to create a Pitti atmosphere, but traditional Italian classic gentlemen are rarely seen outside. Meanwhile, styles based on "Born in the USA," which has had a booth at Pitti for the past few years, are becoming more prominent.

Those in their 30s and 40s who are in sync with skate and club culture, and those in their 50s who don't share the same tastes but share a love for surfing, rock, and disco, seem to be drawn to an invisible movement known as youth culture.

In any case, my love to all the gentlemen who gather at Pitti.
