Louis Vuitton Provides Official Trophy Travel Case for the F1 Monaco Grand Prix™

May 29, 2022
Following on from last year, Louis Vuitton and the Automobile Club of Monaco are once again pleased to present a trophy travel case for the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix™, the result of their first-ever collaboration.

The trophy travel case was handcrafted by artisans at Louis Vuitton's historic atelier in Asnières, a suburb of Paris. The case, inspired by the tradition of the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix™, which is celebrating its 79th anniversary this year, is in full force with the Maison's traditional savoir-faire. The iconic Monogram canvas is clad in the vibrant red of the Monegasque flag, with the red "V" for "Victory" outlined in white, evoking the unique street circuit where exceptional driving skills are showcased with supreme power and precision. A specially commissioned travel case, decorated in the Principality's colors, holds a trophy depicting the Grand Prix's 3.337-kilometer course, complete with 19 tight corners. The trophy will be presented to the winner of the prestigious Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix™, which will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2022.

The partnership launched last year between Louis Vuitton, an iconic French Maison, and the organizers of the legendary Monaco Grand Prix, the oldest Formula 1 race, reaffirms the shared values of tradition, heritage and excellence that both parties have always cherished. Organized by the Automobile Club of Monaco (ACM) and under the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, Head of State of Monaco, the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix™ is one of the most popular and glamorous events in the world. The F1 Monaco Grand Prix™ has produced some of the greatest champions, including Fangio, Hill, Moss, Stewart, Senna, Prost, Schumacher, and more recently Alonso, Vettel, Rosberg, Ricciardo, Hamilton, and Verstappen. Louis Vuitton is proud to participate in this championship and write a chapter in its history. The trophy case embodies "Victory travels in Louis Vuitton." The Official Trophy Case of the F1 Monaco Grand Prix™ marks another landmark in Louis Vuitton's long history of creating trophy cases for some of the world's most iconic sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy, NBA Larry O'Brien Trophy, League of Legends Trophy, Rugby World Cup France 2023, Davis Cup Trophy, Roland Garros Cup, and America's Cup.
