Louis Vuitton's "Travel Book" collection of city guides from around the world will see the addition of three new cities: "Tokyo," "Hawaii," and "Mexico" (each priced at 5,100 yen). Previously, the collection featured stories and landscapes from cities around the world, including Paris, London, New York, and the Arctic Circle, all in a single volume, using artists' illustrations, sketches, collages, cartoons, and manga. The three new cities bring the total number of books in the series to 13. The highly anticipated "Tokyo" edition was created by eBoy, a German pixel art group comprised of Kai Vermehr, Steffen Sauerteig, and Svend Smital, known for their "Pixorama" series, which depicts cities such as San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro, Berlin, and Paris in pixel art. Also being released at the same time are "Hawaii" by Croatian comic artist Esad Ribic and "Mexico" by author, illustrator, and painter Nicolas de Crecy.
All three books will also be available in collector's editions, limited to 30 copies each. Larger than the standard edition, each bound in leather, includes an original lithograph and slipcase, each numbered and signed by the artist. Priced at 277,000 yen, they are available exclusively at Matsuya Ginza, Omotesando, and Roppongi Hills stores.
