Louis Vuitton released its first smartwatch, the Tambour Horizon, on July 11th. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the iconic Tambour watch, which launched Louis Vuitton's watchmaking history in 2002. The Tambour Horizon, a next-generation smartwatch, inherits the Tambour's elegance and refinement. The compact case, measuring just 42mm in diameter, features a distinctive concave bezel in the Tambour Moon design, crafted by a Swiss manufacturer. The model comes in three colors and textures: graphite, monogram, and black. Customers can also choose from 60 straps, including 30 for men and 30 for women, allowing for customization. The watch runs Google's Android Wear 2.0 operating system and connects to iPhones and Android smartphones via Bluetooth. The watch is packed with features for everyday use, including notifications for calls, text messages, and emails, an alarm, a countdown timer, weather information, and a pedometer. The watch face can be customized with several designs, including the signature Damier pattern. The watch also features a unique travel-specific feature called "My Flight," which provides flight times, terminal and gate information, flight delay notifications, and the remaining time until landing. It also features a link to the tablet and smartphone app "City Guide," a collection of six cities edited by Louis Vuitton, and can access landmarks and attractions in seven cities. The City Guide feature also uses GPS to search for nearby restaurants, hotels, historical sites, and tourist attractions in real time, allowing you to access the information you need without having to check your smartphone.

The lineup includes the "Tambour Horizon Graphite" (from 277,000 yen), "Tambour Horizon Black" (from 337,000 yen), and "Tambour Horizon Monogram" (from 277,000 yen).

In addition, to celebrate the launch of the "Tambour Horizon," a video has been released featuring 12 celebrities, including Catherine Deneuve, Miranda Kerr, Jennifer Connelly, Ichikawa Ebizo, and Bae Doona.
