Thom Browne hosted a tennis tournament to celebrate the opening of its London flagship store, its second European location. All players and spectators wore items from the tennis capsule collection. The tournament, presided over by two referees, took place in the courtyard of the Golden Lane Estate. Following the matches, participants enjoyed cucumber sandwiches and cake under the fountain at the Birbigan Centre, and were photographed by photographer Laurence Ellis. Players wore cotton piqué jackets featuring gold tennis racket buttons and navy grosgrain ribbon, paired with cropped pleated skirts and terrycloth headbands and wristbands. Spectators wore ivory linen suits, Oxford shirts, and shirt dresses, complete with black linen ties. They also wore silver tie bars and white suede brogues.
