The new BOGLIOLI: Mid-century bossa nova style in Classico [Men's 2015 Spring/Summer Collection]

Jul 13, 2014

The new BOGLIOLI, the first brand under a new designer, presented its SS15 collection in a presentation format at Milan Fashion Week. While maintaining its innovative, soft tailoring based on classic Italian tailoring, the brand's styling and colors have become more casual, broadening the scope of the collection's occasions. The courtyard of the presentation venue featured a set inspired by the Tuscan five-star resort hotel, Il Pellicano, which was the theme of this season, creating an exotic atmosphere for the models to relax in. At the request of Jay Vosoghi, who took over as designer last season, the California-inspired hotel, which has been a magnet for jet-setters since its construction in the mid-1960s, was directly reflected in the collection. The styling, featuring mid-century-inspired prints, knitwear, chinos, espadrilles, and double-breasted blazers, evoked the style of bossa nova musicians of the time. The suits were made from ultralight Japanese wool for lightweight construction. The yellow of the beach umbrellas set up in the courtyard echoes the rest of the items.
