Itochu Corporation will be fully launching the women's collection of US denim brand JOE'S from Spring/Summer 2015. With Toray Diplomode as the distributor, the brand will expand its lineup of denim to include outerwear, tops, and other items.
The target audience is people in their 20s to 40s, with prices ranging from 23,000 to 39,000 yen for the main item, denim pants, and around 13,000 to 49,000 yen for tops and dresses. The collection will be sold primarily at select shops and department stores.
The Spring/Summer 2015 collection consists of the women's denim collection, "Women's Denim," and "The Collection-Women's," a line of tops that launched in 2007 and will be fully launched in Japan this season. The lineup includes "Spotless," a "stain-proof white denim" made with nano-processing for water-repellent and stain-resistant properties, and "Soo Soft," a comfortable and soft-touch denim made with a modal blend. The "Jogger" jogging-style relaxed bottoms and "Coolemax," made with moisture-wicking and quick-drying materials, are also included. The theme of the Women's Collection is "Off Duty." It offers a blend of urban chic, street style, and comfort, mixing casual designs with dressy materials like lace and silk. Items include tops and jackets in linen jersey and viscose knit, as well as items with a python snake print. The brand also launches its first-ever "JOE'S Exclusive" line this season. This special collection, personally curated by designer Joe Dahan, includes denim made with Japanese materials. Collector's editions in vintage washes are serially numbered. JAWS was founded in Los Angeles, USA in 2001 as a premium denim brand. In order to find a denim pants silhouette that suits all body types, the brand has been committed to the pursuit of perfect fitting and satisfaction, such as creating patterns after fitting 1,000 people. Since 2007, the brand has also released outerwear and tops as a total brand. Currently, the brand operates 33 directly managed stores in the US, including flagship stores in Melrose, Los Angeles and Soho, New York.
