On July 14, Calvin Klein Jeans announced the launch of its women's capsule collection, "Calvin Klein Jeans x mytheresa.com The Re-Issue Project," in collaboration with MYTHERESA.COM. The collection features limited-edition, modern reimaginings of iconic Calvin Klein Jeans pieces. The collection includes the high-waisted skinny jeans that Brooke Shields modeled in the '80s advertising campaign, as well as the boyfriend tapered jeans worn by Kate Moss in the '90s. Washed denim jackets and shirts come in a variety of colors, from pale ice to stone gray. The lineup also includes the popular "cK" sweatshirt and T-shirt, for a total of nine items. Designed by global creative designer Kevin Carrigan, the collection reimagines nostalgic pieces for a younger audience using advanced modern processing techniques. The advertising campaign also features Kate Moss's sister, Lottie Moss, as a model. Photographed by Michael Avedon, Avedon is the grandson of Richard Avedon, the photographer who shot the 1981 campaign, and echoes the project's "return to roots" theme.
The collection will be sold exclusively on MYTHERESA.COM. Prior to the launch, purchasing director Justin O'Shea commented, "We're witnessing a major resurgence in fashion toward the aesthetic pioneered by Calvin Klein Jeans." The capsule collection will be available from July 16th. Prices range from ¥10,600 to ¥41,500.
