Three new visuals have been released for Lars von Trier's film "NYMPH()MANIAC," which has been generating buzz even before its release due to its extreme content. The first, which will also be used as a poster, features a close-up shot of the nine cast members, including lead actress Charlotte Gainsburg, Shia LaBeouf, Uma Thurman, and Christian Slater. Each of them has disheveled hair and a look of ecstasy or agony on their face, along with the words "I became sexually awakened, became addicted to sex, and forgot about love," which seem to express the protagonist's feelings. The second visual features a woman in a school uniform with a dreamy expression in a classroom, with the tagline "I wasn't taught anything about love." The symbolic design, contrasting with the image of the woman exposing herself with a giant triangle ruler in her hand, is a suggestive arrangement that evokes the woman's own sexuality.
The third piece bears the words, "Love is nothing more than a strong sexual desire mixed with jealousy," and features the characters in picturesque poses. It's a piece that will inspire your imagination, with a woman kneeling to wipe up a liquid spilled on a man, another woman with her shirt open straddling a lying man, and upright bananas and cacti. All three images appear on the flyer.
"Nymphomaniac" is a two-part film, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, depicting the life of a nymphomaniac woman, played by Charlotte Gainsbourg. It will be released nationwide from October 11th at Shinjuku Musashino-kan, Human Trust Cinema Yurakucho and Shibuya, and other theaters.
